Garnet, Quartz, Biotite Mica. Drill core 2881 feet, Kelsey Lake, Saskatchewan.Biotite mica shows diffuse dark spots which are pleochroic haloes produced by radiation damage from radioactive minerals. Pinkish Garnet is black in polarised light.
